Here is the look I was thinking about perusing; flat colors without reflections and soft shadows. These images render relatively quickly.
I particularly like the third frame down with the primary-color shapes against the wall. I think that renderings of Bauhaus textiles and objects could also be interesting in such an environment. Could virtually choreograph with shapes and with representations of objects that were actually created at the Bauhaus...?
